Towards a world free of hepatitis

INTRODUCTION

The Charity Association for Support of Iranian Hepatic Patients was founded in 1997 with the aim of assisting hepatic patients.
The non-profit association conducts activities in health care, scientific, cultural and social areas.
It makes efforts to establish contact with similar groups around the world in order to share their resources and experiences.
Thanks to support from the public and private sector , the association covers all hepatic patients, paying part of their treatment , including laboratory and medications, liver transplant and hospitalization costs.
As part of its mission to raise public awareness about hepatitis, the association provides free consultation services for all people. In addition, it runs educational classes jointly with health care and scientific centers.

MEMBERSHIP |
There are two groups of members in the association:
1-Patients: all hepatic patients can become members of the association and enjoy its services after submission of required documents.
2-Donors: these are people who are interested in helping the association with its activities.

GOALS OF  THE ASSOCIATION:
1-Gathering peoples contributions for assisting hepatic patients and their families with provision of  resources, coordination of preventive and treatment services, expansion of required training through media and promotion of liver-related research.
2-Organizationg educational and scientific seminars to assist patients.
3-Offering proposals and plans to authorities designed to facilitate hepatic patients’ life.
4-Making efforts aimed at building clinics and hospitals for hepatic patients, with a view to performing liver transplants.
5-Making efforts aimed at providing treatment programs and liver transplants for hepatic patients both inside and outside of  the country.
6-Making efforts aimed at creating employment for hepatic patients, given their priority and in line with their physical well being.

So far some 6000 hepatic patients have been identified across the nation.They have medical files in the association ,which provides them with various services
